Restaurants, bakeries, shops and local specialties

Bakeries with fresh pastries and typical Spanish delicacies are only a few meters away from our hostal. You don’t have to worry about breakfast. You can jump for it in a bathrobe and slippers :-). The fruit and vegetable market, restaurants, bars, butcher, a grocery store (such as genuine serrano ham or homemade goat cheese) are also nearby.

Spanish kitchen is awesome, especially their very well known tapas. You must also taste Paella, an original Spanish dish, which comes from the villages south of Valencia. You won´t find better Paella anywhere else!

Regular markets take place in the town center every Saturday morning. You can buy cheap clothes, home made olives and snacks, souvenirs and taste spanish churros  with chocolate. It’s a calorie bomb, but excellent.

You have to try a very healthy and healing drink called Horchata or Orxata made from tubers of Cyperus esculentus. You can combine it with a typical pastry called a farton, which you dip into it. It looks like flavored milk, but it is not. It is very healthy.

Tomatoe ‘Valenciana d´El Perelló’ is a traditional variety from the province of Valencia. It has a heart-shaped fruit with a very good texture and taste, making it one of the most important and popular valencian landscapes. You have to taste it. El Perelló uses a tomato as a symbol of the town as well.
